It is much cheaper at TAFE.
Two Tafe's that offer it online are
The Bremer Institute of Tafe: http://www.bremer.tafe.qld.gov.au/dds/search/openEnrolments.do;jsessionid=JH2LGpJKmFQkpWV71qGhLFXSj5ccyTWvDHSDNT98TywjqT8XLjM9!247182386?instituteID=739&keyword=nursing&call_centre_mode=false&externalCallMode=false&breadCrumbsBase=%3Ca+href%3D%22%2F%22+title%3D%22Home%22%3EHome%3C%2Fa%3E&accredited=true&course_id=22521&courseTypeFilter=&ins_spec=true
Gold Coast Tafe: http://www.goldcoast.tafe.qld.gov.au/search/course_finder/coursedetails.php?course_id=3331&version=9
However doing placements you need to attend the hospitals and clinical skills workshops
You can also do your RN's by distance education which may be a bit better from you in the sense that it is online and still covered by HECS
