Hi there, I've just started a combined course (cert 3 in age care and allied health) I want to eventually transfer to nursing diploma. How does it work? I don't want to sit the Vatassess test. Are there other ways of getting into it? Am thinking of working for a bit first with my already health/age care qualification when I finish.

Ps I live in Melbourne

Hi! You can enrol Certificate IV in Health Science Foundations. It takes 6 months. Once you finish this course you can enrol Diploma in Nursing w/o taking the Vetassess. I rather take the Vetassess than study this course. They said Vetassess is easier than we thought basic Maths and Literacy. When are you thinking to enrol into nursing? I'm sure we can do it.

I hope it helps.

Hi,

Why wouldn't you want to sit a simple English and Maths test? When you are studying nursing you are not going to be able to pick and choose what tests/exams/placements/ etc you do.
