Hi, I'm doing it p/time and I'm in group I. I had my online orientation today. Just out of curiousity where are you doing your prac for critical care, do you know yet??

I rang loads of hospitals in my area and they weren't helpful at all. I was really disheartened so rang GCIT and asked them if anyone from Sydney had previously done the prac in Sydney they said that they'll organise it with the hospitals so I'm just hoping that will happen. I won't have any problem with the aged care prac. How about you? I've had a quick flick through the books and thinking how I'm going to keep everything in.

I could probably do my aged placement where i am working now, but have a few friends at other places so i have applied to do placements at those places instead......for the hospital placement i have listed places that i know take students....what area are you in Penelope? i'm in the eastern sydney area

I'm in the Sutherland Shire. I was told by Sutherland Hospital that the Illawarra region which includes St George and Wollongong don't take placements from GCIT. Which hospital are you hoping to do your critical care as I may need a back up? Thankfully we have a while to think about it.

Penelope you will need to ask the private hospitals in your area like St George Private, Kareena Private etc as they are more likely to take you for clinicals
