Hi!

I was wondering if someone here knows why the online course is so much more expensive compared to the on campus one??? I was going to enrol for the November intake of the online course but now they have put up all the info for the next on campus intake (Jan 2012) and it's about $7k cheaper than the online one. Why would that be??? The online course is almost $15k which is not cheap if you consider that doing it on campus would save you almost half.

Cheers

hi, I asked the same question earlier this year - apparently its because the TAFE get govt funding for the on campus course but not the online course - so you have to be full-fee paying. Don't ask me why the govt decided this...I went with the online course for flexibility.

Hi Katrin! I too struggled with the extra amount for the online course. However, when I looked at the cost over 18months of petrol, after/before school and vacation care for the kids and the extra time (I live an hour away from the tafe) to get there and home that I could be using to study, I decided I was still better of paying it. I also felt I couldn't commit to full time on campus and to do part time would be an extra 6 months. Good Luck with your decision! Jeanelle

Hi Jeanelle,

You have a point there. But still it is a HUGE amount. My little one needs to go to daycare for an additional day - which makes it 3 days/wk until I know how much study time I really need. I deferred my fees anyway - so in that matter ... paying almost twice as much doesn't worry me (just yet). :-) And to be flexible and not having to turn up every day - it makes life with kids so much easier!

Good luck to you all!

Cheers
Katrin
