Hi

Does anyone know where I can do a medication endorsement course? Please! Just moved to QLD from WA. Finding it hard to get work without this and really wondering if it is worth paying for my next lot of registration?

2007 I did a re-registration bridging course in WA. It is sounding like I have to do another bridging course to be eligible to do the medication endorsement which is separate again??.

I would appreciate any help.

The sunshine coast tafe does a bridging course for hospital trained and certifcate trained EN's. the next course start in july2010 and then feb 2011. Lot of RPL and credit transfer so you may only need to do a few units of the diploma course. It is 26 units but I only have to do 8 units sas the rest ar RPL. Worth looking into if you need to get medication endorsement which is why I am doing it.

Hi Chris

great to read your note on the Sunshine Coast Tafe regarding the endorsement. Are your doing this on site or external student?

I will contact them this week (if anybody is there during the holidays) chances are too late for July, will have to do it in February.

thanks again for your note.

Hi Agagpantha
The course is 8weeks of face to face on a tuesday from 8.30 to 4pm. then palcement which is your choice of 3 weeks or 15weeks of placement on a tuesday. Cause i have recently done reentry i only have to do a minimum of 40 hours placement but can be up to the 120 hours if needed. Plus you have work books and assignment to do as well. Whole course is finished on dec10 2010. Lot of RPL and credit transfer. For me that means I only have to do 8 units out of the 26 diploma units as the other 18 have been rpl or credit transfer. Contact details for TAFE are 54593472. Ther will be people there this coming week as we are starting on tuesday 6th. Hope that info helps.

Hi Agapantha, have you inquired into the bridging course at Sunshine coast Tafe. Tomorrow is week 6 of face to face. It is going well. Lots of workbooks to do but they don't have to be handed in until 3rd of december 2010 so not that daunting. I just do a little bit each day. Calculations are more daunting but after 6 weeks it is making more sense. Teachers are lovely. We only have 2 teachers. They are all very helpful and class mates are great too. we are all about 45 + so all on the same wave length.

Hi Chris

Just read your last message to me re medication endorsement. After your previous emails I have enquired about three times but nobody came back to talk to me. Mmm.

As I am living out of the Sunshine coast I was wondering about the face to face . how many days per week?

You sound like your enjoying it.

cheers
