Hi, I am new to Nurse Central and have just recently moved to Western Australia from Victoria. I was working in one of the city hospitals in Melbourne as a Division 2 nurse without my medication endorsement. I am wanting to gain employment here in Perth and surrounding areas as a nurse, (enrolled nurse here) and am trying to find a medication endorsement course I can do so I can have that qualification to give them out. I have been informed that I will need that to work as an enrolled nurse. I have not been successful in finding such a course so far. Can someone please help me in this area? I am in process of registering with the WA Nurses Board and gaining a police check. Is there anything else I need to do apart from doing the meds course? Is it possible to gain employment as an enrolled nurse without medication endorsement? I look forward to hearing from anyone that can help soon, thanks, Sue

Hi Saija, Thanks so much for your reply. Much appreciated. Have only been here for a month so its still taking time to settle in. Thanks for the info. I will definetly look up the P. M. C.hospital. I have since found out that I can get work as an en without my medication endorsement which you said would be the case. I went to the Nurses expo yesterday which gave me a much clearer idea of what my options are as an en with and without meds. Thanks again it was good to have a reply. Now I just need to find work!
