Hi there, I have been accepted into kangan, holmesglen, careers aus and healthskills. Looks like I am going to go for the health skills Australia because they have the most flexibility of times to attend. Tafe is like 4 days a week but I have to keep working. I am enrolled for now at HSA for Feb 2015.

Congrats SANDY.

I only applied for x 3 places just before cut off times. I have only found out re 1 so far, which is Health Skills. Other one I am to sit a test for next week which I might not now as I am in HSA, which as you state suits me better too re their timetabling as I work FT. 3rd offer depends on results of another test I sat lst week, which I think I bombed out on so HSA it is. 3rd provider actually has option of two testing methods, so I can sit another test through the Uni direct, but not sure I can be bothered now.

Hi Sandyko and luckyassiemum!how many days in a class at HSA is the full time and part time course of EN?How much exactly the government contribute towards the tuition fees, and how much of the tuition fees need to be paid if the RTO offers government-subsidised training? What sort of test do they require? I am looking to apply end of the month but I haven't decided yet w/c RTO i'm going to enrol. I'm doing a bit of research as like you,i'm also working.

Sally, if you want to apply for Jan/Feb intakes for next year I would be doing them NOW or you will miss the boat! If you are considering a TAFE institution, many closed books end Oct.

HSA- VTG Gov funded is just shy of $13k, full fee $25k (you can defer the later to VET Fee- Help). If you already have a diplom or higher you are looking at full fee. Also around $800 in books funded spot or full fee.

FT- 3 days a week, PT is two days on campus.

You will need to sit a literacy and numeracy test. Takes about 1.5-2hrs all up. They have the tests each Tuesday at 5pm in the Melbourne CBD centre. See link re maths practice test.
