Hi Chebly, I've just joined this site very interesting.
I was a mature aged student too, started Enrolled Nursing in 2003, I was 43 yrs old and hadn't done any study for over 25yrs in my opinion you can not learn nursing online, I've done both and I can tell you face to face is 100 times better, you get to interact with other students, you study together, brainstorm together.
I went onto to complete my Batchelor of Registered Nursing at University again face to face, last year I completed a post grad an online course and I struggled with navigating the site and not understanding what was expected of me, I did manage to complete the course BUT I spent a lot of time on the phone with the course tutor & subject coordinators.
I've worked in Emergency for 11 years now and have just taken a 6 month secondment to teach, I'm supporting the Trainee Enrolled Nurses when they're out on clinical practice.
My advise is go for it, having all the life experiences certainly makes a difference, thats one of the things I ove about nursing, it doesn't matter the age you are, you can be 19yrs old or 70 yrs old you can still work. GOOD LUCK
