Hi Everyone, 

I will be commencing studies in July and just wanted some guidance in regards to which Stethoscope is better suited to an EN ?

We are given the option to purchase a "nursing pack" through our course provider however the quality is horrible (the whole pack is only $50 )

I am leaning towards the Littman Classic III so that I can then use it for my Bach next year, the only other one I have had recommended is the MDF Instruments Acoustica XP duel head. 

I would love to hear what everyone else is using/ thinks

I have a Littman Classic and they are fantastic! I got a Liberty in the nursing pack and the quality was terrible. It went in the bin but I kept the BP cuff and the pen light.

I ordered mine online and the company offered free engraving. Make sure you get it engraved because they go missing. Expensive to replace!

I got the pack from school, and yeah the quality wasn't great (the stethoscope was ok though). Although i bring mine on placements, i usually use the one on the ward (after giving it a good wipe).

At tafe we only used them once or twice for manual BP and nasogastrics as far as i can remember, so it might not be an urgent purchase.

I bought a Littmann and had it engraved on the tubes and the bell.
