jules74 (offline) Joined: Jan 2008 Location: Posts: 135	Fri Feb 12, 2010 8:02 pm ive just started the Cert IV in Nursing in Victoria, and during our discussions weve been told that due to the national registration which comes into effect on 1st July that Div 2's (in victoria) will be reverting back to the old name of Enrolled Nurse. Just wondering how the Current Div 2's feel about it? the Div 2's i know are not happy about it, as they say had to fight for recognition of their registration years ago, and received it when they were given the title Registered Nurse Division 2. Opinions???

zoe181207 (offline) Joined: Dec 2009 Location: Posts: 2	Feb 13, 2010, 03:52 am Hi I'm from Victoria as well - I heard that the Div 2 training course, currently the Cert IV in nursing is changing its name to the Diploma of Nursing. But what a step backwards for the Div 2 nurse to be known as an enrolled nurse and not a Div 2 nurse. There really isn't much difference between the duties of a Div 1 and Div 2 now that the Div 2 can update their skills to administer medication. Sounds like a step backwards..
