Soo I've been umming and ahhing when to start and what to start for ages.

I had planned on having another Bub (I have a 2yr old) soon then study but now my partner wants to wait longer so I, thinking of starting school sooner.

My prob is I can't decide what I want to do !

Im scared if I do the diploma I won't like it so was thinking of doing the cert 3 in health services first to get a taster and be an AIN.

However im worried that might be a waste and I could just do my diploma! Thing is because I'm not a citizen I am not eligible for vet funding so would have to pay upfront so I can't afford both courses. I would also need the cheapest diploma option and the least amount of days due to family circumstances! I'm in Geelong area but could do a day in Melbourne.

i am eligible for gov funding for the diploma but not the cert 3 as I already hold a cert 4 in something else.

bah I don't know!!!

Any input? :):)

I would say go for the diploma especially if you're planning on having  a second child soon afterwards.  After having 2 kids it will just get more complicated to study (financially and time) so - if you can manage it now and get some funding for the diploma, go ahead and get it!  If you go the other route, you won't have funding and you may regret not doing the diploma while you have time. Good luck!

Thank you for your reply. It's a good point. I was planning on waiting until all kids were in school or something before taking on the diploma so thought it may not be as bad? I guess it depends on $ either way also. At this stage I can't afford to study this year otherwise I'd start now. That's why I'm thinking next year. I'd love a trainee or apprenticeship type thing but don't think they exist in this field.
