Hi

What is the pay rate for casual Div 2 Nurses starting out in Melbourne - fulltime and hourly rate (day/night/weekends) and also permanent rate. Does rate increase after 1st year out of training and is rate better in hospital or nursing home and lastly is it a better rate if your medically endorsed....

Hey there,

The ANF can provide details of public sector wages, as well as individual private agreements. The pay rates in the public sector for first year out div 2s at the moment are as follows:

Pay Point 1 (entry-general) 767.60 Weekly/ 20.2000/hr for a 38hr wk /25.2500 casual hourly / 35.3500 casual weekend

Pay Point 2 (entry-new Cert IV including Med Qual) 783.60 weekly/ 20.6211/hr for 38 hr week/ 25.7763 casual hourly / 36.0868 casual weekend

Pay Point 3 (entry-Diploma) 799.60 weekly/ 21.0421/ hr for 38 hour week /26.3026 casual hourly and 36.8237 casual weekend

Allowances: On call $19.20 Night shift $48.30
PM Shift $19.20 Permanent Night shift $55.45

Yeah it does, unfortunately the governement undervalues aged care workers and I think you'll find it pays less than hospital work - I don't think it's covered under the same award. Sorry unsure of the actual rates, I just know my agency pays a bit less for aged care facilities - unless you're endorsed then they pay more.

hi everyone, i heard that with five years experience, the pay rate is only start at 21$ per hour for div2 nursing,hope that is not the reality

Hi, i am taking the test at the end of the year to be alegable to study nursing, i was wondering if there is any online practice test i could do?
