Hi retep57

I am pretty sure there is a cathlab at Launceston General Hospital, Launceston, Tasmania. The phone number is (03) 6348 7111 and ask to be put through to Angiography. Shelley Foaley (RN) may be of help. If not LGH try Royal Hobart Hospital. I know there is one in Tasmania.

Hey Jmac, thanx for comment, i have met one of the staff from LGH cath lab when we went to CSANZ meeting ( in Perth btw) , also one of the consultants used to be "our" fellow at RMH melbourne,

ozcathlabs site was a "failure to thrive" unfortunately.

This time I am changing tactics. There is a melbourne based group called "smarthearts" whcih get together from time to time. Until now it has been via a "lecture" every few months in Melbourne. We are trying to increase the connectivity of the Vic cathlabs. There is already more networking than before and i hope this will grow. Our site (for now) is smarthearts.wikispaces.com , we have made it a rpivate site that requires user name and password for access. It is very basic at the moment and is in a "pre-release" level of build. If you are really keen and work with a cathlab in ANZ somewhere then email me or when you got to the wite - ask for permission to join then an organiser will be able to grant access. Site is free ( costs 5$ a month to keep it private and to keep adverts off it) so far i am am doing without 2 cappacinos a month to start it off).

I am also sending my contact database to a representative of the CSANZ, there are now over 90 ANZ cath labs on the database, most are getting the "coronaryheart.com" magazine for example.

What we are tryng to do is to "de-identify" comments about specfic labs , ecgs, xrays etc. I have pur some great pics of RCA dissections on the xray page but pics could be from anywhere in the world.

you can probably find the new site by googleing cathlabs wikispaces or otherwise i have put a direct link on my personal site here http://users.bigpond.net.au/peter.veitch/

the direct link is here https://smarthearts.wikispaces.com but remebre you need username and password. cheers. peter veitch
