Hi all,Just wondering if anyone has any experience working overseas, knows the best countries where nursing is well recognized or knows the process of application? I am currently completing my grad year at a major hospital and im looking to get a bit of experience overseas but I heard you usually have to get about 2 years experience working as an independent RN. My first rotation was a general med/surg and my second rotation is in rehab so i would definitely like to get more acute experience before I do any travelling. Just wanted to get some ideas and experiences.  Any help would be great :)

I worked at Norway and it was a great experience. 

Nurses can work in a number of places in Norway. The most common workplaces are, however, at a hospital and in health and care services in local authorities, e.g. at a care home, nursing home, home care services, school health services and at public health centres.

Norway is organised into four regional health authorities: South-Eastern Norway, Western Norway, Central Norway and Northern Norway. Each of these health authorities operates hospitals in their area. On their individual websites you will find an overview and links to the different hospitals, and there is also information for job seekers.

duaneconnell I was really intrigued by your post. What level or Norwegian do they expect, or do they have a large international workforce? Do the health authorities provide language training?
