I have just finnished my aged care cert 3 and have an opportunity to do my cert 3 in health services assistant in acute care wondering if it is a good choice ?? Please help

Hi there. I think it would depend on where you would like to apply for an AIN position. Most hospitals will train you in their system anyway and a friend of mine obtained an AIN position within a private hospital with only a Cert III in Aged Care but with 15 years experience under her belt! So I don't think it would be absolutely necessary for an acute care AIN job and the units would be very similar to those you have already studied so may not be very challenging or provide more opportunities for you. Anything else available to study?
