Is there any flexibility at all with placement start times? My dilemma is I have a 2.5 yr old and the earliest I can drop him at childcare is the open time of 0630 hrs. We do not have any family support here. Of course I will dicuss with my education provider but just curious to see feedback from others that have dealt or dealing with this currently. Thanks in advance.

This is a challenging one....and as a current EN student what I do know is this has been a severe a grey area for me.
(Fortunately I don't have children, just debilitating anxiety when needing to be away from home.)
My advice is be upfront as soon as possible with the placement co-ordinator about your situation, remember the worst answer you can get from this is 'No, we cannot accommodate you individually' etc
But there is some extra hope if that is the case.
Find out if there can be student swaps, if there can; remember that  some classmates are just so genuinely lovely and they will help.
The other case is the facility themselves once on placement may also be accommodating with rosters to a reasonable extent.
That may or may not have answered your question, if anything, the best people to ask is the people in charge of those things where you study (or where you wish to study.)
All the best :)

I think your best bet is to talk to your school's clinical team to see what they can do as it is completely their decision whether to support you or not. I know one girl who was in the similar situation, and the team put her on an all PM shift placement.
