Hi :-)

I am a current Div 2 nursing student and stumbled across this forum in a general search. I am just hoping to meet others who are studying the same thing and offer support and get help when I need it to. Its great to have a support network.

I am a studying mum. I am 27 and married with 2 young daughters. My eldest is 6 and my youngest is 15 months. I go to RMIT in Vic.

I am new to the whole study thing as I have not studied in about 10 years but I really like it. It does get a bit much at times and I wonder what I am doing..but I know I am going to get so much out of it. I am in my first semester and will be set to graduate in June next year as I am doing it part time. I am just feeling my way through at the moment and working out how to study again and working out what works best for me and my family.

After I graduate I would like to do some work in Palliative Care and then either study for my Div 1 or a Bachelor of Midwifery. Midwifery is where I would really like to end up. I am not sure which route to take yet so am just taking my time.

Hope to get to know a few of you here and share stories and advice.

Lisa

Hello Rachael :-)

Good on you for starting your Div 2 course. Congrats.

Where abouts are you located? Melbourne? What uni/tafe do you go too?
I am in Melbourne, RMIT.

I have my first A&P exam in a week and a half..eeeeeeeeeeek. I am not feeling that great right now..but I am in cram mode at the moment. I have got sick kids right now so it's a it tricky, but I know I'll get there.

Would be great to share support.

I have got msn but the next week or so I will be on very little. If you want to add me though I am akeesha444@hotmail.com

Look forward to chatting.

Hello,

I have also just started my div 2 course, and am really enjoying it. It is about 15 years since I studied, so I am finding it a bit of a shock but love it!

We are just starting with A&P so I am hoping the exam will be a while off yet.

wish you both all the best with your studies and hopefully will chat again soon

Hi Berridale :-)

Congrats on starting your Div 2 course!!

How do you find the A&P stuff?? I dont find it too bad but it is a bit tricky at times. I actually love the lectures/calsses on culture and communication. They are my fave.

Fisrt exam on Tuesday. It's on A&P so a bit nervous but not too bad. I have my moments lol

Been lucky that it's only our fisrt exam considering we started in Feb. Now its down to the nitty gritty.

You sound like you are enjoying it Berridale. Where do you want to go when you are done. What area of nursing are you interested in?

Look forward to more chatting. :-)

Hey,

I am finding it all really good but prob a bit harder than I first thought!!!! A&P is good, don't know how I am going to remember it all, but we will find a way.

Have my first law exam in 3 weeks, so I am trying to study for that. I really can't wait to be hands on at placement.

I am really unsure of where I want to head after my div 2, I had thought of doing my div 1 but I want to work and buy a house first. I don't know how much work is out there for div 2 so I guess I will wait and see. I would love to get into A&E. Will wait and see :)

Did you wanna chat over msn? Let me know and I will add you

Cheers Berridale.
