Hi all!

I have a drug calculation problem, that I'm having a mind blank with.

We have an answer sheet (so I know the correct answer), but I'm having trouble coming up with a formula to use for this question. Any help is appreciated.

Jack is ordered 8mL of paracetamol and stock available is 120 mg/5mL.

How many mg of paracetamol will Jack receive per dose?

You need to work out how many mg are in each ml

Divide 5mg into 120ml to do this

5mg (120ml = 24mg per ml

then times mls required by the amount of mg per ml

8ml x 24mg  = 192mg
