Hi,

I'm currently studying my EN Certificate course externally through Charles Darwin University and hope to have it finished by the end of this year so I can get working. I completed first year of the Nursing Degree Program at Griffith Uni in 2001 but for family reasons could not complete it. What I don't know is, what happens when I finish my certificate course? I know with RN's you register and apply for Grad Programs at various hospitals, is it similar for EN's? Would love to hear from recently registered EN's about their experiences.

Cheers

Hi Sheree, In Melbourne ive heard some hospitals have an Enrolled Nurse (Div. 2) grad. year placement scheme also. If hospitals down your way dont offer such placements you could always apply on bank at a hospital or even give aged care a go to get some experience in your back pocket for use later on!

all the best!
