Hi everyone,
I've one week left in my Cert IV course, have passed everything with one exam to complete and the excitement of finishing was coming in full swing. Filled out my registration form, paid the $320 and then.... I have to prove that I have 5 years of full time education in Australia or sit yet another expensive exam.
I went to school my entire life in Brisbane, left in grade 10, but the school only keeps records for a certain number of years of which I am passed. So I am left where I have no formal proof that I went to school, yet I am able to fluently speak and write english. I passed the VETASSESS exam with 40/40 for the English component and even this is not enough.
Has anyone else had this issue to deal with? Any advice? I am broke after the registration money and simply can't afford to pay for another exam.
