Hello,

I am interested in studying nursing and was wondering if anyone can offer any advice or provide some feedback on their personal experience.

I have a completed bachelor degree (law) and was interested in applying for the Masters of Nursing at ECU, however as it is only offered at the start of the year and there is no guarantee of being awarded a place, I am wondering if it would be wiser just doing the extra year of undergrad study and starting mid-year this year rather than holding out for a place in the masters, not  being awarded one, and then being effectively finishing a year later that I anticipated.

I would also be interested in hearing how people with young children (I have one kindy age and below)  found arranging childcare during prac and any other issues they may have been confronted with.

Lastly, I love the idea of studying at ND, but the flexibility of doing online units with ECU and the fact it is much closer to home I think outweighs the reputation of ND (for me, anyway)...however, would be interested in hearing thoughts on this also - especially if there is a big difference in employment outcomes because, lets face it, after doing a law degree I can't afford to have two useless degrees!

Thanks :)
