Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience or advice they can offer about the external diploma of nursing through TafeSA please? Thinking about maybe applying in 2012. Thanks :)

Hi I was looking at this and its a really good course but you have to apply through SATAC and I think do an exam, that's why I didn't choose it. You ahve to be prepared to go there for residential schools. I think its 3 x 1 week long residentail schools

Please note that only Port Pirie offers the three five day on campus blocks for external students. Port Adelaide, Whyalla and Victor Harbour have once a week on campus classes that are compulsory.

I drove to Mt Gambier and sat the TABS test and passed quite well (I haven't been in a classroom since 1984....) and was offered a first round place as an external part time student at Port Adelaide not knowing that it was only Port Pirie that offered the three blocks for workshops. I was not in a position to drive from Melbourne to Adelaide and return every Tuesday and still maintain full time work, so had to turn the offer down.........
