Hi all,

I was hoping to get some advice. I'm currently doing my third year at UTS although I'm set to finish next year due to some subjects needing repeating. I was considering my options with transferring to UNE in Armidale instead to finish.

The reason why is that I've found I'm really struggling at UTS primarily I feel because I don't feel engaged with the students or faculty. I think perhaps just because it's such a large campus. There are some other external factors which I won't go into.

I was planning on moving to Armidale after I finished the degree anyways so I thought why not just go a bit earlier.. even if it means I don't finish till a little later - I'd rather do better and finish later.

I guess my main question is can anyone tell me what they think of UNE and their nursing course?

Thanks in advance! I really appreciate any help or dialogue about my thoughts.

Hi @forever_student.

I just joined up tonight! I was a student at UNE from 2003-2004 doing 2 years of my BN then due to a failed subject I transferred to UTS... I hated UTS, so impersonal, so many people, the course was complicated, they stuffed me over, so I ended up leaving.

Here I am again trying to re enter now at University of Tasmania so I can finally finish.

UNE was an amazing Nursing school and I loved it, wish I could have finished there. Check what you can get credit for before you move there. I'm from Armidale as well, so I love the town too.

Feel free to ask more questions.
