Hi there... now this question is in regards to something that is still 2 years away BUT my partner and I have finally decided we would like to tie the knot on our 10th anneversary. Thiswill just happen to fall during my final year of my nursing degree and, better yet, during my final practicum placement.

So ladies and gents, am i crazy for even contemplating this?

Thanks in advance!

Well my only question is this....how much does it mean to you to get married on your 10 year anniversary?

If it means alot and you will regret not doing it then....then I would go for it. I think you will be able to handle it if its what you want. Sounds like you might just have to have a delayed honeymoon.

Plus if you have 2 years to plan it then you can be very well organised.

Good luck and congrats :)

I never thought of it like that. It's like they say, where there's a will there's a way. And there's always that 1 month winter break where a lot can be done. And I wonder if I grovel to my program director, when the time is right, I might be able to take two day off during placement and add them at the end :)

Thanks :)

If you really want to get married then could you consider doing placement over the summer? I know UniSA have this as an option (at least this year they do). I'm not sure what uni you're at , but if you're with uniSA i hear that some people have been able to do ELA3 overseas, so maybe you could elope if the honeymoon thing is an issue;) it's all a matter of working out what's most important to you, and nobody else can tell you what to do.

Thanks for replying Steph!

I am indeed at unisa so i'll have to look into the whole summer placement... sounds like an excellent idea. I'd even be tempted to try and do that placement in melbourne because that is where we were planning to move once I finish my degree.

Good thing i still have 2 years to think about it all!

(and thanks again)
