We have 13weeks a year starting from year 1: Year 1 - Sem1 Aged care Sem2 Maternal/Paeds/Communty Year 2 - Sem1 Medical Sem2 Surgical/Theatre Year 3 - Sem1 Mental Sem 2 ICU/ER/Option Its pretty good.

nursemorgan (offline) Joined: Jul 2005 Location: adelaide Posts: 28	Apr 10, 2006, 08:26 pm Hi Jen At UNISA we get: yr 1 sem 2: 3 weeks basic nursing care (mainly in nursing homes or 'general'/ smaller country hospitals) yr 2 sem 1 and 2 3 weeks per semester in acute care only yr 3 sem 1 NC5 specilisation 3 weeks yr 3 sem 2 practicum 6 weeks there will be a "new" course syllabis starting next yr though so may change cheers Morgan
