Good Luck :-)

After you send in a resume a follow up call can sometimes make you stand out from the rest............

In answer to your question, about what they will ask, well that could be many things, however, I am still doing my cert 3, but ask yoursself this question?

Why did I do aged care?
What did I truly love about my vocational placement?

Did that make you smile? Did you feel passionate??

If yes to both, dont be nervous, go in smile, and show that passion.....

In most interviews the prospective employer likes to hear you know something about their business. They like to know that you are capable of doing what you are employed to do.

They take note of your presentation, your appearance, do you sit with confidence and speak with compassion about your abilities.

I am sure you will be ask the general questions- How did you hear about the position? What can you bring to their company?

They will aske questions relating to your work experience and what you enjoyed?

They will ask what are your strengths and weakness.

The main thing to remember is to be yourself, you have a certificate that has proven you are capable to apply for the position. You would not have taken the time for study in a field that you were not intested in.

Be polite, be direct, dont fidget, dress neat and tidy as first appearance does count.

After the interview a letter or a telephone call to thank them for their time always goes a long way. Even if you do not get this job dont give up. There will come another position there and from time to time send them a later showing your interest.

I wish you all the best. I will be starting my course next week and I am ever so excited.

Though in my past profession this is what we asked prospective staff. Hope this helps and keep us updated.

Hi Becki,

Congrats on passing your course.

I'll be starting Cert 3 in a couple of months time, and look forward to reaching your stage and finding some part time work while I study nursing.

Great job seeking tips Possum.....

Its really great to see a board where everyone can be so helpful!

Hi

Congrats to everyone who has completed their cert 3.. Can I say this it really helps if you can put down in resume that you have also done some volunteer work.. Which I did when I completed my course.. I volunteered where I did my work placement and three months later I was offered a job..
