Doing this Aged Care Course, online, through distance education, was seriously the wrong idea for me. after finishing 4 units. I needed the, tutor or the teacher, via e-mail to virtually give me answers for all the role plays and case studies, as no matter how much I read, how much I looked online, I could not, grasp hold of how to type it all out and make one bit of sense of anything to do with, case studies or role plays. Suppose ably the answers were in the work book. I either mis read them, or couldn't find them and relate the information to whatever was being asked to do.

if the course is difficult for me, then the work would be to I suppose.

So no Aged Care, for Me. Wasted money on the course, which I didn't even do half of.

trabbott74 - don't get too dejected by your experience. Everyone learns in different ways: some people have to be hands on and others can get it all out of a book. You just have to find what suits you and obviously you need to be involved more and have classroom contact to complete the course. There are some organisations which employ you as a personal carer then put you through the course at the same time: don't give up, I just think you need to be doing what you are learning for it to make sense -then it's just a matter of formalising that experience into paperwork to pass the course. Look around and ask around - your tutor should be able to help you in a new direction. Good luck.
