hi I have started my aged care certificate 3.. I m half of the way but it takes too long to finish by attending class.. so is there any other way to get the assignmnets and finish it fast.. from where can I borrow books for getting assignments.

Usually the assignments are set by the facilitator/trainer, and they usually reflect what has been learned in the text book/handouts/class notes or designated documents and training media.  Some of the assignments maybe practical assessments and need to be done during work placement. The best way to move quickly is to ask the facilitator/trainer for assistance in moving quicker.  I was always a believer in self paced learning as some want to move quicker than others.  Maybe your facilitator can be too. good luck and learn it well for it is a stepping stone to better things if you want.

I have started the Aged Care Cert 3 course by correspondence. I find that dealing with the local HACC has helped me out. I volunteer with Meals on Wheels, which helps build good relationships with the staff as well as the people receiving the services. In regards to gaining information for the Assessments, I find simply google-ing info works well. I always discuss my answers with the HACC staff to make sure I'm on track.  It is difficult not being able to discuss various subjects with other students as in a class room setting.

There are many books about aged care, but I recommend you to read Long-Term Caring: Residential, Home and Community Aged Care by Karen Scott, Margaret Webb, and Sheila A Sorrentino, The 36-hour day Book by Nancy Mace and The psychology of ageing by Ian Stuart-Hamilton, these are best for me I bought them from https://www.reecoupons.com, because they are quite cheap there, I like them, I hope you will also like them.
