Mental health nursing requires you to be an RN and once you have been engaged into the mental health sector, you can then do a transition course (usually funded by public hospitals for their staff) to gain the necessary psych qualifications.

The transition course allows you to gain the necessary experience whilst studying, hence its the preferred route for those wishing to enter mental health. Good luck
