Hey all,

I am a student nurse (Diploma of enrolled nursing through RDNS, in adelaide). I am particularly interested in furthering my studies in either midwifery or paediatrics. My course finishes mid next year (2011) and i am getting married at the end of 2011. Has anyone got any advice or opinions as to what options i have or where i can find information?

If any one would like to tell me their stories or give me any but of information, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Liz, :)

Hi there,

Too study for EN you mean ? there is quite a lot of qork to do as far as assignments go but i found that keeping ontop of evrything makes it alot easier. I also started of doingmy cert 3 in aged care, which i found on placement that it's not my area that I want to be in. I did it as my starting point. Now im coming tothe end of my course (EN) and I want to keep studying. RDNS are going to be introducing a paed course for 6 months full time. Not sure when there going to start it and not sure how much for.

(paragraph>My opinion would be to finish ur cert 3 first and start ur EN and concentrate on that.

One course at a time, don't rush.

Hope this helps

Midwifery jobs are advanced nursing positions that require additional training above and beyond what is required to become a registered nurse. These nursing professionals are responsible for delivering babies and providing both prenatal and postpartum care to the mothers. There are career options all over the world for nurses who choose midwifery jobs, from rural settings to big cities. Midwifery jobs are important to the modern healthcare industry and are an excellent choice for those in the nursing profession.
