Nurse Organisations

The ANF is the national union for nurses and the largest professional nursing organisation in Australia. The ANF's core business is the industrial and professional representation of nurses and nursing.

The Forum states that founding the Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses, (CATSIN) is the first step in Indigenous nurses claiming ownership of, setting the agenda for, and advising on, a range of issues.

The Council of Deans of Nursing and Midwifery (Australia & New Zealand) (CDNM) (or the ‘Council’), formerly known as the Australian Council of Deans of Nursing (ACDN), is the peak organisation that represents the Deans and Heads of the Schools of Nursing in universities that offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in nursing and midwifery throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Professionally the Enrolled Nurse Professional Association are the peak consultative body for enrolled nursing in NSW.

The Institute is a professional organisation for nurse managers. It provides a platform and forum for all levels of nurse managers and senior nurse clinicians to discuss, comment and use the political process on matters relating to the profession of nursing, particularly nursing management issues.

Tthe formation of the Institute arose from the recognition of a need for a collaborative approach to the evaluation of evidence derived from a diverse range of sources, including experience, expertise and all forms of rigorous research and the translation, transfer and utilisation of the "best available" evidence into health care practice.

The National Nursing and Nursing Education Taskforce (N³ET) website provides rapid access to information relevant to the activities of N³ET. It aims to disseminate information on project developments, current issues under consideration, and to report on progress on the work of the Taskforce.

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation is committed to the representation of its members, the promotion of nursing and midwifery and participation in health and social policy development.
