Smoking at Hospitals
An article in the Sydney Morning Herald states:
STAFF, patients and visitors to Queensland's largest hospital will soon be banned from smoking anywhere on the grounds of the sprawling facility.
Security guards, cameras and loudspeakers will be used to police the ban and anyone, including the hospital's 6,000 staff, caught doing the wrong thing will be ordered to move on.
First-time offenders will be handed warnings, and second offenders risk $150 fines.
Hospital management said the ban was crucial if it was to set an example.
