i recently finished my Certificate 3 in Aged care in Melbourne and then after that i completed 150 hours of voluntary work but still i cannot find a job. most employeers are saying they want PCA's with more than 6mnths of paid work experience.No-one is willing to hire me though. Can you help me, I do not know what to do now!

I know what you mean, I have about 3 months of paid work experience and about 6 months unpaid, but I still wasn't able to get a job with an agency because I didn't have 12 months of paid experience (and after working out costs of daycare, it didn't pay for me to work). Have you had a look at your local council? Doing home and community care? Generally start off just cleaning, but after about 6 months move into personal care. It would be one way of getting paid experience. I know of a few people who have done this, and now they actually prefer it to working in a facility. I'm just volunteering now on the days when my kids are in care. Hopefully something will come out of it all, but I'm not holding my breath. It's one of the main reasons why I'm looking into upskilling.
