Hi everyone, we have now got a few members starting to join us. I was wondering what your first impressions of the NurseCentral site are and how you came to find us?

I'd love to hear your views and what you think will be great about this site.

Love the new site. A great way to catch up on nursing-specific news from around the country and the world. I think the events list - once more organisers start advertising on it - will be a handy feature. Am looking forward to exploring more of the site as it grows.

Hi, Think this is a great idea. Nurses love talking to other nurses, who else would understand us? I am looking foward to watching the site grow, and sharing ideas with others.

This is a great idea, thank you so much for this site. I will certainly be looking forward to using this site and accessing the up-to-date information .

I found out about this site from the Nursing Review paper which I receive regularly and was eager to access the site to see what it involved. Just fabulous

It's great to be able to catch up with other nurses.
Thanks again
Jane

Lou, nurserosie and jmartin7,
thank you very much for your kind words.
Thanks for letting us know where you found us, I have taken that feedback and introduced a "referred by" field into the registration form.
Nursing Review kindly printed an article about our site so I would encourage nurses everywhere to get a hold of their publication as well.

Hi Darren,
Well done, its about time we had a site like this. You have obviously put a lot of work into it, lets hope that the nurses respond and use it well. I can think of several questions that I will be posting later and looking forward to chatting to other nurses. I will be visiting frequently.

Best wishes
Neil

Hi Darren
I only found out about your site to-day when Nursing Review arrived, and I went straight to my computer to have a look. It is a great idea, and the site looks very promising. Us nurses need a site like this so we can connect with other of the same profession all over the country and not just within our own circle. thanks for the site.

Hi Darren and all,

Excellent site - well done! It's great to have an on-line forum for nurses in Australia and NZ.

Long overdue, and I hope it gets the support it deserves.

I thought it was time I chipped in again. Thank you all for your positive feedback, it is very encouraging. I should also acknowledge Brendan who has done all the programming and template work - so accolades to him.

It is very exciting for us as we have hit 50 members. Only a small group at present but you never know if these ventures will take off or not.
Welcome aboard and keep those posts coming.

I must think of a good incentive to get some avatars up soon too - it will add great colour to the site.

Cheers

Good to see an Australian site finally. Site will take off well it becomes well known. I found out about it in the Nurses Review today. Signing up would have been a breeze if I wasn't having computer problems!

Really awesome site you set up Darren!

I've looked all over the net for a site just like this, only to come across site's that focus on mainly U.S nurses or specifically to Div 1. Nurses. NurseCentral is a fantastic idea for nurses and nurse wannabe's to exchange idea's, information and generally bump shoulders.

Cheers darren and the rest of the members!
