Just wanted to say that I have just purchased all my semester one text books for fab prices from www.fishpond.com.au I have saved heaps and they also do free postage on every purchase (no minimum spend) throughout Austrailia. Cheers, Jane.

lol..nurse jane...no need to buy books...just borrow from the library. The key to saving lots of money is use the library and not just go after the pre-requisite books but books of the same title and you will find each chapter a verbatim copy of each other. in short i never chase prescribed text but borrow parallel books. Never had to buy a book, except for my ECG course...sob, sob.

Hey there Schizo, I wanted to buy all of my course text books as I like to highlight certain texts and write on my books as I am studying. Fishpond is fantastic for buying new books at hugely discounted rates. Was just putting it out there for any other folks who also like to buy books. I have ammassed a vast library of books over the years and am excited to be adding nursing literature to my own personal library. The recommended place to purchase my text books would have meant me spending at least twice the amount of money. That's great you use the library. I'll also use the hospitals library facilities once I begin my course in July. I don't think any library would appreciate my highlighted notes and comments to myself all over their books, lol. Have a lovely Sunday. Jane.

I bought some books from fishpond and they were awful. I waited ages for the books to be sent. In the end I waited so long I had to cancel the order and get it from the uni book store. They're return policy was terrible as well. I'm glad someone else has had a good experience.

Hey Abbeyside, the books took about 2 weeks to arrive but it clearly says on the siteb that you should allow up to 21 days for delivery. I ordered mine well in advance so this was fine with me. They do not charge any postage and with the weight of my books, this was preferable to me also. Am ordering my semester 2 books from then too.

I'm with abbeyside on this one, i brought some books from them early last year and it took over 3 months for them to get here! Luckily they were just personal books and not for study or else i would have been in trouble... Glad you had better success then i did though!
