Hi All

Would like to know if other nurses can see my posts ? Its nice to come here for a chat about what we do or what we are trying to accomplish. Hmm am trying at the moment but am having trouble with Numeracy !

Will be sitting a test for this on Monday ..... so soon :-? Wish i had time to study more . I would be grateful if anyone has suggestions, ideas , websites to remember the Numeracy.

If anyone has any material they would like to share and prac tests from TAFE this would be much appreciated ,

Thanks in advance

Renay :)

Hi Renay,

If you look at my post under the heading "Literacy and numeracy test....." I was the last to post. I have mentioned a website which is great at helping with your maths. It will sure help you study now for your exam, and all throughout your nursing career.

When I sat my entry test for tafe, it was pretty basic mathematics. So try not to stress too much and just take your time. Also, you probably won't have any luck obtaining a Tafe exam. I would just try googling some websites, you can generally find some useful pages to help you. However the site I've mentioned is the only one I use, and I've graduated from my EEN course, and am now in my final semester at uni for RN. Anytime I feel like I need to 'scrub up' on my maths, I head to that site. Good luck with your exam!

I have been on the website and its good just getting use to all the maths again , i didnt know what to expect on Monday. I am stressing as its the unknown , i didnt go to year 12 and in my 40's so its been awhile since i sat a maths exam. I wanted to hear some feedback  from other members that have sat the exam recently , as i would like to know is the exam basic maths. Thank you again and congratulations on completing your EEN's and RN's this year
