Hi,

Are there any students here studying Diploma of Nursing at RMIT. I have just applied for ACU, but will also be applying for midyear at RMIT. I love RMIT (past student) though I never really hear much about their nursing program (from a students/employers point of view).

Any comments, feedback, experiences about their program would be great.

Thanks all.

OK, so not one person on this forum (or anywhere else for that matter, I have been asking everywhere, even RMIT won't give me any information) has been to RMIT for nursing, WOW! Are their classes empty???

Or maybe this forum is just empty.

I have been looking at both kangan and rmit for the diploma of nursing as we may be moving north of the melb cbd later in the year so wanted to be prepared. I haven't seen much feedback on either two of these places sometimes I'll search through the online baby website forums as some have study sections and you may get feedback there from other mums.

Hi Giraffe

Don't go to Kangan. I have done an allied health certficate with them, some of the students had done nursing with them the year before and said NO WAY, DONT DO IT HERE. None of them found work and so just continued to study in other health areas. It is a tiny tiny campus (if you could call it that), an okay nurse lab, but not really up to scratch I think. Very unorganised, with students not knowing what they were doing one day to the next.

Hope this helps.

I got an offer from ACU the other day, so will take that

Good Luck

P.S Thanks for the reply

No probs I find it gets pretty quiet on here some weeks and other than the parenting forums I can't suggest another other pages for info.

OK I'll keep the kangan info in mind I did find when I spoke with the guy on the main desk he had absolutely no clue about the course so I got a little demanding asks asked to speak with someone in their nursing department as I really needed answers to my questions and he gave me their number.

I was having a look at the ACU website last night and I know they're considered one of the better universities to study midwifery through and they also have the diploma in offer so I think I'll suss that out for next year's intake. Weekdays happening with rmit have you applied with them yet?
