im wondering if different states have varying course lengths for the diploma course. here in QLD its generally 18mths full time and 3 years part time. mine is an online program and will take me 2 yrears full time. (a pilot program thru the aged care scheme so they modified it as we r all working in the aged care industry. ive read with interest that some ppl from the southern states complete this in only 12 mths....... is it that the 12 mth program doesnt include medication endorsement, as my diploma will? just curious....

i just finished my EN course, which included medication endorsement. it was full time 12mths, but it was a cert IV.
i dont think you can do a Cert IV anywhere anymore, 2010 was the last year i think that it was offered anywhere before they changed the EN course to a diploma- and there will be students still finishing off Cert IV courses in 2011 that they started in 2010.

id be surprised if there will be anyone who is doing a diploma course in 12mths- my cert IV was pretty intensive and we only just managed to fit it into 12mths. i dont see how any place could legitimately be doing even more subjects within the same time of 12mths.
