Hi Ive been accepted into full time study at vic uni.  I need to try and workout if the full time will be too hard for me and juggling a family etc.  Has anyone done this course full time and are you expected to be at uni 5 days per week?  I have also been offered an interview partime and another tafe college and i am sort of leaning towards parttime.  please advise me if you can.  cheers

Hi Sara, thanks for the reply.  Did you start off doing the course full-time?  My kids are 12 @ 14 and I have family support in that area.  It is the workload that worries me.  I was also wondering when they say full time are you there full time or just certain hours.   cheers trish

Haha, Fulltime. FORGET IT. You will go bonkers on your 1st week when you look at all your assessment items when doing 4 units. Go part time.

I am a mother of 4 ages 3,8,13,15, i work part time as an AIN.  I am just about to complete this tafe course this semester and have been doing it full time.  you have to be disciplined and have a good support network i think.  It can be done, you just have to know your limits.  There are actually online RN degrees and EN diplomas now too, which might be helpful to you.  :)

Thankyou for your reply.  I start tommorrow and thought I would try and study 2 hours per night.  Do you think that is adequate?
