I am an RN and have recently moved to far north QLD from Victoria. I completed my Bachelor and Graduate Year in Melbourne and I am in the process of applying for jobs in far north QLD. I have heard a few different descriptions of what kind of nursing is in QLD. In Victoria we had ratios 4:1 on most wards. I believe ratios are different and there is more of a 'team nursing' approach in QLD?
Can anyone clarify this for me? I suppose I will find out soon, but would still love to have a better idea!
