Hi! I am in my final year of nursing and I begin my last placement in the emergency department in February. I was wondering if any of you had any tips for me - what to prepare for, what to expect, what conditions are most common, what skills are must utilized, etc.
I am very excited for the opportunity to be in the ER but at the same time I am nervous! So I was hoping that having a perspective from some of you and learning from you all that I would feel more at ease. I realize every ER is different wherever you go, but just sort of general things, or what you most often see, things you would recommend reviewing, etc..
