Hey all,

A couple of weeks ago I did my first week of work placement (second week is at the end of the year because tafe is weird)

Anyway, it was 4 days, 8 hour shifts. I guess the pain is some sort of inflammation but I'm getting no relief whatsoever. Has anyone else experienced this sort of pain before?

I'm getting worried because I really do wanna pursue a career in nursing but I'm not sure my body is cut out for it. It should be though, I'm only 19. I am unfit though.

I've tried using deep heat, walking out the pain, resting, massaging, soaking and I've ran out things to do.

Thanks for reading

Is this your first placement?
Investing in a good pair of shoes is very important as it save yourself a lot of pain in the long run.

Yes, it was my first placement. I have grosby shoes, and I thought they would be good, but apparently not. What would you recommend?

I would invest in Doc Martens or even those school looking shoes from Payless/Spendless http://www.paylessshoes.com.au/products/work-l/clasp

I have those ones and I can spend 8 hours on my feet and they still don't hurt.
