Hi all,

We have a resident who pulls apart his alarm mat, but he is in desperate need of having it due to high falls risk. Does anybody know if there is some sort of an alternative to alarm mats or have any suggestions?

Thanks.

Hi,

there are a few alternatives you can use.

1) bed sensor that is under the mattress wired in completely from beneath the bed.

2)sensor light or laser- but that's expensive and most nah won't pay fir that.

3) put your Rt on a low-low bed with crash mats on the sides , maybe one side if bed against the wall so there is only one way to go and needing to cover with mats. With relevant documentation you can just identify him as an extremely high falls risk and note it in his behaviour CP.

hope thus helped.
