I'm so passionate about aged care and have wanted to do this for a while.I'm not the brightest spark and I'm worried i won't be smart enough to complete this course? Is it an easy course and did anyone here find it difficult? What's it like on work placement and what will I be required to do? Thank you for any feedback :)

Your attitude will determines if you can complete the course. Not how difficult it is...

There is a lot of written work both class based and homework assignments which can be overwhelming for a while. Don't be afraid to ask questions if you do not understand anything. My advice also is do your homework assignments as soon as possible otherwise you will become very bogged down and overwhelmed. On placement I found everything that I had learn't in class started to make sense and just fall into place, by the end of it I felt like one of the PCA's. I was also lucky enough to be offered a job at the end of placement. It is very hard to get a job if you do not get an offer at the end of placement as most facilities want experienced PCA's which is something the course providers need to look at. Good luck.

Also, in answer to your question about what you will be required to do on placement I would say what ever you are comfortable in doing, try not to just stand back for to long watching as remember the facility may be your future employer.
