Hi guys,

I have just been accepted into the Diploma of Nursing offered at Careers Australia, Sydney Campus. I have asked around and not many people have heard of the place as it is just new to Sydney. I just had a few questions regarding the college. Even though not many people know about it, when I researched about it online I didn't see many great things and this scares me. The person at Careers Australia said I have been accepted into July in-take but they have to confirm that there will be a July in-take from the government or something? It really didn't make sense which kind of scared me a little. So has anyone done their diploma at Careers Australia or know anyone who has done it at Careers Australia? What did you think of it? Was the course really hard or?

Anything about this college will help!!! Thankyou!

Hi Sarah, I just completed my AIN course to get into my diploma at careers australia, Brisbane Campus, they were awesome. Really helpful if you have any troubles. If anyone had a bad experience it would depend on the people and campus. I loved it and think they were helpful and great! They have been doing the diploma and everything here for years and always overloaded with people. Hope that helps a little! They are also good with funding. But again depends on the campus and people on your experience :) goodluck!

I went to my TAFE scholarship interview on Friday. It was nerve wrecking.  Apparently there are only 10 places at each TAFE.  I doubt that I was successful considering the amount of people being interviewed there.  I asked the educators at TAFE about Careers Australia.  They said that if a course is not APRA approved that I should avoid at all costs. They also said that the private courses tend to do their 400 prac hours in nursing homes which is not sufficient as we really need to learn our prac in a hospital environment. So, thought I had better warn you.  Maybe you should give Careers Australia a call and query them about the above?  Let me know how you go, Thanks Mel

Hi,

That great to her Lozallan, I have also completed my cert3 in AIN and that was a great eye opener!! Thanks for the CareersAustralia advise, when I went in they seemed really nice but its just that no one in Sydney seems to know about them.

Melaniecharlton, I also attended one of the scholarship interviews for the Rozelle campus and just found out I got in! Hope you get in!! The only really annoying thing is it starts end of April which is more than a month away but oh well who can complain!
