Hey guys,

Just a question about the Vetassess exam.

I have just left school, graduated grade 12 in 2014, if I have graduated school will I have to take the entrance exam. I passed school, have my grade 12 certificate, senior statement everything to say I passed. Also I am a qualified Assistant in Nursing, and I work in an Aged care home as a nurse.

Just wondering, if anyone knows or if anyone graduated school and went in straight after had to take the exam?

Also what math questions were in the exam? Kinda worried because my maths is pretty bad.

Thanks 8D

I wouldn't have thought you would need to sit a vetasess test you are basically a school leaver.  The test is to prvoe that people who have been out of education for a while have a basic understanding of maths, spelling, writing.  :-)  The maths test wasn't to bad I have been out of school 16 years and still passed maybe brush up on your fractions :-)

Hi, im new hear, Im sitting the vetasess in two days, have had to fir in study for it around a rigorous school schedual. with two days to go im getting really nervous, everyne is telling me that il do fine and that I know everything I need to know. on the practice test my engloish was fine, math however 12 out of 17 which makes up 70% i dont know if thats good or bad given they dont tell me what the pass grade is. if anyone else has doen it recently, am I gonna be alright? am i worrying over nothing? i know these are silly questions bit im in desperate need of reasurence or new study methods. i keep being told there is little poin t in studying as of i dont know it by now i wont in two days, and that they give you so little information that ts difficult to target your revision. so nervous.

Where i am studying, private provider (that has gov subsidies too) all prospectives students MUST sit the test ste by them for liteacy and numeracy...free. They provide a very comprehensive test practice copy which if you study it, you'll be fine.

All TAFES I looked at required Vetassess test by all students regardless of age or qualifications. You could have a PHD and they would NOT care...stupid new policies! Waste of time and money for all with a degree+!

Hey Guys,

Apparently if you have done your HSC and you have proof, you do not need to sit the VET-Fee-Help-Test.  You are one of the lucky ones.
