just out of interest... for those of you who have done the calculations exam for EN endorsement, were you allowed to use a calculator during the exam???

ive been told by 2 people that did their meds course at 2 different places that they COULD use a calculator...

Hi

I did the course a couple of years ago, we were Not allowed to use a calculator. Maybe it depends on where you do the course. However, I am terrified of maths, have never been good at it, and I managed to get 100% (which you had to get to pass).

Think it depends on who you are studying with though

Hi Jules74,

We were not allowed to have calculators in our exam, and since you are studying at the same place I did I assume it will be the same for you.

Good luck, you'll be fine, it really wasn't that hard and I'm terrible at maths!

hi guys,

thanks for all your replies. we had our calcs exam on thursday and im happy to say i passed first go!! wot a relief! we werent able to use calculators even though clearly some places do allow it. i have always hated maths and was really petrified of this exam. but now im amazed by the fact that drug calcs are not so difficult- never thought id say those words!

quite alot of people failed it first go- there was a trick question that confused alot of folk..but they got to re-sit the next day and i think most will have passed it now.

thanks again.

PS Jaydee, how r you going? are you working now? if so hows is it?
