Hi, I'm a recent graduate from Melbourne University thinking of applying for the Masters of Nursing graduate course at UQ, Ipswich, because I hear it is a very good course for Nursing, but I am wondering whether it would be better to live at Ipswich or Brisbane?

At first I thought it would be better to be in Ipswich, and as close to Uni as possible, but then I was reading about the course structure, and it sounds like you are not on campus that much at all (you have "self-directed learning days" and many of the lecures are online), and the clinicals are in a hospital, which, unless you get one of the 2 or 3 hospitals that are in Ipswich (Ipswich Hospital or St Andrews) will most likely be somewhere in Brisbane.

So now I am not sure whether it would be better to be based in Ipswich or Brisbane...I'm a bit more partial to Brisbane, coming from Melbourne, but I don't want to be disadvantaged, either, by being too far away from Uni (Brisbane is about an hour away, from what I read...and I don't have my driver's license yet, so I would be relying upon public transport to get to clinicals/uni) Any advice anyone can give would be much appreciated, as I'm trying to plan ahead for next year. Thanks,

Sarah-marie.
